Two short works by the renowned playwright Harold Pinter. Celebration, an interplay between two vivacious dinner parties with enough irony and sarcasm to keep you laughing all night. In Party Time, eight wealthy guests gather for a house party amidst the upheaval outside. As the night goes on, subtle tensions grow. What’s going on outside? And what happened to Jimmy? Join us for an immersive show of dark hilarity and subtle innuendo.

Quips fly, love letters deceive, and yellow garters are worn (to everyone’s discomfort). After Viola washes ashore in a new land, she tries to find a way to survive. The solution? Love triangles, cross-dressing, and plenty of mistaken identities, of course! Considered by many to be his best comedy, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night remains a timeless and hilarious watch to this day.

To save the kingdom, Saige travels back in time to stop the assassination of her childhood friend and first love, Prince Rowan. But in order for Rowan to live, someone has to die. Seasons pass. Love blossoms. Hearts break. Scheming nobles rise to the occasion. In the midst of it all, will Saige be able to save Rowan? Or will she succumb to the pressure as she struggles with a world as familiar as it is strange?

Starting with just a few nonsensical prompts, students from all across Princeton’s campus set out to write, rehearse, and perform an entirely new work of theater in just 24 hours!

Writers start writing on Friday night at 8 PM. Directors, actors, and designers prepare the next day for a performance at 8 PM on Saturday night.

A lawyer who wishes that he was a painter defends a ditzy heiress and a perfectionist chair-maker from a lawsuit by a woman whose grandmother - sorry, great-grandmother - was eaten by an alligator after falling out of one of their chairs.  The lawyer learns the true meaning of chasing your passion, and defending those who do.

Our intrepid Environmental Studies senior, Fern, takes a trip across Route 1 to the mysterious Princeton Forrestal Campus. There, Fern finds a woodland wonderland and meets several furry friends throughout the day, as well as esteemed mob boss Tony Soprano. Fern learns some valuable life lessons about dairy consumption, the cheese industry, and not judging a book by its cover. 


The Rocky Horror Picture Show

For the past 45 years, Alice, an artist, has lived alone in the desert. She speaks to the audience as if they were a loved yet distant relative, describing and reliving a life dedicated to creating beauty in a world determined to break it. An unfinished working draft.

Parable of the Beggar by Vincent Gerardi

A Yale-educated young writer (Michael) who is struggling with OCD is stuck between two socio-economic worlds. Tempted by the advancement of his own career, Michael must balance his relationships with the two main women in his life: his hardworking, lower-middle class Mother (Sarah) who raised him, and his well-connected, wealthy girlfriend (Charlotte).

DEMONS by Nica Evans

A couple is preparing for the wedding, but the bride has a secret that can change both of their lives forever. (Francine has a past that she has run away from, but she can no longer run from it. Themes include internal conflict, grief, and love.)


 

Going Dark

Written by Mel Hornyak ‘23

Going Dark is a queer post-apocalyptic tragicomedy about a group of young adults trapped in their college theater during the zombie apocalypse. As their numbers dwindle, a group defects to put on their own show, faced by resistance from the former head of the Theatrical Board still trying to exert his authority on the increasingly fragmented remains of a close-knit clique. When one of the group is bitten by a zombie, they are faced with a terrible choice: is survival worth abandoning your found family?
